Good Condition Used BMP-1 Track Links – Polish Army Surplus
Not everyone needs factory-fresh tracks, and that’s perfectly fine!
If you’re restoring a BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle for display purposes, occasional use at military vehicle shows, or just need to get your project mobile without breaking the bank, these good condition used tracks might be exactly what you’re looking for.
What you’re getting:
This is a genuine used set of tracks (a pair) from Polish Army BMP-1s. Yes, they’ve seen service. Yes, they’ve been through mud, training exercises, and probably a few decades of Warsaw Pact military life. But here’s the thing – they’re still in good, usable condition and will last for years to come. The BMP-1 tracks are designed to last approximately 3,000 km when used correctly. With a driver who does not drive recklessly as soon as they sit in the seat, this track set will comfortably cover at least half of that distance before it starts to require major investments.
Technical details:
Remember, a complete BMP-1 contains 168 track links (84 per side) and double that number of connectors. We currently have two complete sets available – enough for two vehicles, or one vehicle with a full spare set.
Compatibility: These tracks will fit not only the BMP-1, but also all vehicles based on the BMP-1 suspension.
BMP-2 compatibility: these tracks can replace those from the BMP-2, but they differ from them in terms of their connectors and will therefore require the drive wheel sprockets to be replaced with those from the BMP-1. Apart from that, they will fit without any problems. These sprockets can also be ordered from us.
Who should buy used tracks?
Used tracks make perfect sense if:
- You’re building a display vehicle that won’t see regular use
- Your BMP will be an occasional show piece, not a daily driver
- You’re working with a limited budget and need to prioritize other parts of the restoration
- You need to get your project mobile for transport or storage
- You’re not planning to put hundreds of hours on the vehicle
Who should probably buy New Old Stock or new production instead?
If you’re restoring a museum-quality vehicle, planning serious off-road use, or need the absolute best for a vehicle that will see regular service, you might want to consider our New Old Stock tracks or even current production tracks. Contact us to discuss your options.
Let’s talk about shipping – because this is important:
Each track link weighs 6,36 kg. A complete set of 168 links means you’re looking at about 1400 kg of steel. This is not a “throw it in a box and ship it” kind of situation. Due to the size and weight, shipping quotes depend on your location, but expect to pay from €500 upwards for delivery. We’re located in Jarocin, Poland, and we’ll arrange proper shipping on a pallet or even a small truck, depending on your location and the quantity.
We know that’s not cheap, but that’s simply the reality of shipping a tonne of steel across Europe. We’ll give you an exact quote based on your location before you commit to anything.
Personal collection is possible by prior arrangement several days in advance.
Limited availability:
We only have two complete sets available right now. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. Unlike our New Old Stock tracks, we can’t just order more used tracks from a warehouse – these come from vehicles that are being parted out, and that supply is unpredictable at best.
Warranty:
We provide a 30-day start-up warranty for these tracks. We’ve inspected them and they’re good to go, but if you discover any issues, we’ll make it right.
Additional photos and videos can be provided on request.
