You’re sitting in the cab of your Zil 131. It’s raining. The track ahead looks like something a herd of drunk hippos walked through. You reach down, bleed the pressure, and feel the tyres settle into the mud like they own it. This is what these trucks were built for — and these Neumaster W16A tyres are ready to do exactly that.

The 12.00-20 is the factory size for the Zil 131 and the Polish Star 266. More importantly, these tyres are fully compatible with the Zil 131’s Central Tyre Inflation System. Drop the pressure on the fly from the driver’s seat, chew through mud, sand or snow, then pump it back up for the road. Exactly as the Soviet engineers intended.

Why the W16A?

The E2 tread pattern is one of the classic off-road military designs — deep, aggressive, self-cleaning lugs that throw mud clear and bite into soft ground with real authority. At 20-ply, this is not a tyre that gives up easily. It’s a bias-construction tyre built for heavy loads on difficult terrain, carrying up to 4,000 kg per tyre at a maximum inflation pressure of 8.9 atm. On the road, it’ll cruise comfortably up to 100 km/h — more than enough for a Zil 131, which tops out well before that anyway.

Tyres are located in our warehouse in Poznań, Poland — right off the E30/A2 motorway, about 150 km from Frankfurt (Oder). Delivery to Germany and most EU countries takes 3–7 working days. Need them faster? Express 48-hour delivery is available at additional cost. Shipping to eastern Germany starts at approximately €200. Personal collection is always welcome.
