T-55 Drive Sprockets – The Heart of Your Tank’s Power Train
When your T-54, T-55, or T-62 starts slipping tracks or making that grinding noise that makes tankers wince, it’s time to look at your drive sprockets. These complete, unused sprockets are ready to restore that smooth, authoritative power delivery that made Soviet tanks legendary.
Fresh from the factory, never fired in anger:
These drive sprockets are completely unused – they’ve never felt the stress of combat manoeuvres or even training exercises. Think of them as the crown jewels of your tank’s drivetrain, waiting to transfer all that engine power directly to the tracks with the precision Soviet engineers intended.
Universal compatibility across the family:
The beauty of Soviet standardisation shines here – these sprockets fit the entire T-54/55/62 family tree, including specialised variants like ARVs (Armoured Recovery Vehicles), bridge layers, and even Chinese tanks derived from this legendary lineage. When the Soviets designed something, they designed it to work across their entire fleet.
CRITICAL SPECIFICATION – Not Interchangeable:
Here’s where precision matters absolutely: these sprockets come in two completely different versions, and they are NOT interchangeable. The 13-tooth version for older OMSH tracks and the 14-tooth version for newer RMSH tracks differ by about 5 centimetres in width. This isn’t just about tooth count – it’s about fundamental physical compatibility.
Get it wrong = expensive mistake: Install the wrong sprocket type and it simply won’t fit. The OMSH sprocket won’t work with RMSH tracks, and vice versa. There’s no “making it work” or “close enough” – you need to know exactly which track system your tank has and order the corresponding sprocket. When in doubt, measure your existing sprocket width or send us detailed photos.
Beyond sprockets – your one-stop tank shop:
We’re not just sprocket specialists – we stock an extensive inventory of T-54/55/62 components. From road wheels to final drives, if you don’t see what you need listed, just ask. Chances are we’ve got it sitting in our warehouse or can source it through our network of contacts across the former Warsaw Pact.
Act while supplies last:
Genuine unused drive sprockets for Soviet tanks aren’t getting any more common. Military surplus from this era is finite, and once these pristine examples are gone, you’ll be looking at expensive and very labour intensive remanufacturing.

Disclaimer: The sample photos shown are of sprockets already sold to previous customers. Your sprocket may have slightly different coloring or minor surface rust from storage, but nothing that will affect performance or reliability. After decades in storage, some cosmetic variation is normal and expected – the mechanical integrity remains perfect.
