This is an original NBC protection system blower from the T-55 tank. When the Cold War could have gone hot at any moment, this little device was meant to keep Warsaw Pact tank crews alive and fighting in contaminated environments. But let’s be honest – it also helped clear out gun powder fumes after firing the main gun. And probably helped with… other atmospheric issues when four guys are cramped together for hours. We’re not saying your crew had a farting problem, but this blower was definitely multi-purpose!

Technical bits:

This blower was a critical component of the T-55’s over-pressure NBC protection system. When activated, it created positive air pressure inside the turret, preventing contaminated air from seeping in through cracks and openings. Pretty clever Soviet engineering, actually!

We have 10 units available. Once they’re gone, they’re gone – we’re not exactly expecting a new shipment of these from the factory!

Condition:

These blowers look very good and are complete units. However, they are sold as-is and untested. They’ve been in storage for decades, so we cannot guarantee they’ll work when you plug them in. Perfect for restoration projects, display pieces, or if you’re handy with Soviet electrical systems and want to bring one back to life.
